This review is in regards to the United Airlines Mileage Plus program. Simply put, my wife and I flew to Central America last April and were not credited with our miles by United Airlines. Last May, we contacted a rep from the company who took our ticket/seat information and assured us that our miles would appear within 90 days. The miles were never credited so we contacted United Airlines in July. Again, a rep apologized and assured us that our miles would appear within 90 days. Once again, the miles were never credited. In November, we contacted United Airlines and demanded to speak to a supervisor (instead, we spoke with an Indian gentleman who could barely speak English). He gave us the same 90 days "song and dance." It is now almost March and our miles have STILL not been credited to our accounts (a total of over 5,000 miles). We tried to utilize the Better Business Bureau, however, United Airlines failed to respond. It appears that United Airlines is biding their time and delaying our requests because the miles will officially expire a year after the flight (in our case, April). This is a shady business practice and it appears that United Airlines has implemented this "policy" as a result of its bankruptcy. As a warning to other business & leisure travellers, beware of the "United Airlines Mileage Plus" program. It is a hoax.
