This place deliberately failed my vehicle on smog test and wanted to do $500 worth of repairs on car working properly. I came from out of state, am a woman and they took advantage of me. Prior to going to Smog It, I had had repairs done on my car and afterwards, the mechanic showed me on the smog testing machine that my car was now passing. I immediately went to Smog It (Gold Shield) and they failed my test. Without having anything more done to my car, I took it to an honest 'Gold Shield' station and it passed the test. This is proof positive that they deliberately failed my car. My mechanic showed me how a station can deliberately fail you on smog test: By recording the numbers when your car has not warmed up*. 'Gold Shield' is the special license a smog testing station has to have to retest failed smog test cars. Smog It should not be a Gold Shield station. They are dishonest. I requested a refund and they refused.
