I had my new cell phone for 1 month and already had a Mobizzo charge on it ($9.99 +tax). AT&T claimed that they couldn't remove it and that I'd have to call Mobizzo directly to remove the charge. The Mobizzo rep cancelled the account quickly enough, but claimed they couldn't issue a credit for the charge through my carrier. I was told they would have to mail a check to me. Great, now a scam operator who possessed my cell # is asking me for my address to mail me a check. Sounds ripe for identity theft to me. Contacting Ohio Attorney General's office.
BTW... based on Mobizzo's responses below, how can I be charged at all if I didn't "double opt-in"?
