Review 7/13/2008
This place is a real sham and don’t waste your money trying hire anybody with legal status from here. They claim to be BBB member. We found out from BBB site they are NOT BBB member (was little late by that time). We hired a nanny on June 21st of 2008 (Saturday). We had clarified very clearly the tasks of the nanny and the terms and conditions of the contract in writing and the Manager of Maria America (Ms. Hilda Alizalde) read and conveyed it to the nanny, the manager and the nanny signed the contract. However the next day (Sunday) nanny's husband called us and left message saying she is not planning to start with us. Monday (06/21/08) we called Maria America and conveyed the message. They told they need to talk with Manager and resolve this by end of business that day, but nobody called back. Wednesday (06/23/08) we called back again and left message at 11:40 am. Nobody returned the call. Saturday (06/28/08) called and talked with Ms. Donna. She took all the information again and told her manager Ms. Hilda is in an interview and will call us back and resolve this that day, but again no one called us back. Saturday (07/05/08) we called Maria America and the person who picked up happened to be the manager (Hilda) this time. She started acting completely ignorant of this issue saying she was never aware of this and she said the best thing she can do is to offer a replacement. Already 2 weeks had passed and we were forced to make alternate arrangements, which had caused us lot of tension and money. Monday (07/07/08) we talked to Ms Hilda who said it will NOT be possible for them to return the money and gave their owner Mr. Robert’s number which we could never reach despite trying several times. None of the ladies we interviewed have valid SSN or Drivers License. The one who said has SSN and agreed for background check was the one we hired but didn’t show up. So replacement is not an acceptable solution considering we are looking for a nanny for our baby while we are at work and not just a house keeping personnel. Per our agreement with Maria America the 1st weeks salary is what is taken from us, but when the nanny didn’t even show up for work, we need that salary to be returned to us. We had chosen the first option in your agreement where you do not charge a service fee.
