After complaining to the company and filing a complaint with the BBB, Internet Brands offered me a refund for my purchase of vBulletin 4.0, minus a $35 "processing fee", which isn't mentioned on their site. Originally, they told me and the BBB that they don't offer refunds, but visits to the company's vBulletin License Member Forum prove that they do give refunds, but it does take work. Internet Brands also won't admit to the numerous bugs in their vBulletin 4.0 Suite, but over 100 "Severity 1" bugs are documented as open on the company's own bug tracking web site. This company tried to sell people a discounted license for a product customers couldn't see, test, or validate.
Internet Brands offered me this partial refund on 1/14/2010, but as of yet (1/28/2010), no email correspondence has been given (after multiple requests) as to when this refund will happen, if at all.
