After purchasing the original offer or 5 DVD's for $0.49 each, I received the selected movies as promised. However, i received an email about a directors cut that was picked for me and it also said that I had to respond immediately as to whether or not I wanted it. After emailing them and telling them that I did not, They still charged my credit card for the amount of the movie. I called the 800 number provided and the sales person was rude , and rushy. I found out that the movie had not been sent yet, but she is not sure that it can be canceled. She said that she emailed the person, but had no confirmation number for speaking to me, nor for taking my complaint. So it's like her word or mines..... Also, she informed me that not only is there no other number, but also that she can't guarantee me that the forced DVD will be refunded or stopped......I give COLUMBIA HOUSE ONLINE DVD RENTAL {TWO THUMBS DOWN}AND A FOOT.....{FROWNS} .I found nothing good about my experience with Columbia house. Especially the fact that when you call the 800 number that you have to put that you are not a customer ,in order to talk to a live representative. Other than that it was automation after automation with no end...........I do believe that if they had an exact line for the customers that would assist you better in the handling of situations, and with support in your inquiries it would be much better. Also, if you are lucky enough to know to press the right buttons to get a live representative, that they would have more knowledge , and capability of handling situations that may derive from being a customer, that way a customer does not feel left out to dry. Also, they need to have people in customer service that recognize that customers are important, and should not make a customer feel as if they have been duped and that they are on their own............PLEASE NOTICE THAT I DID GIVE THEM ONE STAR, THAT IS BECAUSE I DID RECEIVE MY FIRST PACKAGE IN GREAT CONDITION, AND IN A TIMELY FASHION
