I do not even give this business one star rating. I took my 66 Mustang to Bergee's in recently restored condition. With a new 302 motor. The contract was that he take the 302 motor and beef it up with belt drive and all other parts needed to make it a Muscle car. My life long dream is to have my dream car (66 Mustang) in Route 66.
I paid half the quoted price up front upon delivery of the car to the shop.One month later I paid an additional amount making the total quoted price almost paid in full. Two years later I had to tow my car away from Bergee's shop, which had relocated to a different location. I was never even informed the shop was moving, I drove by and saw my car on a car trailer. When I removed my car two years later my car had been stripped and looks like some thing you find in the back of a junk yard thats been sitting in the elements since 1966.
Joe Bergee has never given me any of my money back. None of the parts that were stripped off my car have been returned to me and no apology or explanation as to what happened has ever been offered or received.
So unless you are planning on giving your car away to pay somebody to strip it for you with no explanation I do not suggest you have Joe Bergee come near you car. Joe Bergee is a CROOK, LIER, and a THIEF. He knows nothing about running an honest business has no integrity, morals, or business ethics.
He has moved his shop from the last location of Central Ave in San Bernardino, Ca to some place in Highland, Ca and is working under somebody else's name so be very careful when looking for a shop to do any auto repair or refurbishing for you in this area.
