I am very unhappy about a 3% charge on my debt/credit card on international charges that the bank took from my account. When I asked for a receipt from the bank they declined. The only explanation the customer service rep could say was "the bank gets charged when they convert funds" No other explanation was given rep said it was in my hand book I got when I opened the account. The rep pointed out that in the past the charges where included in the original payment now they are made to charge sepratly so we consumer know. I understand if I was using a credit card but I am not. Maybe it is in my hand book from 20yrs ago I may be wrong but the bank is profiting without giving a service after all the funds come from my checking account! Please let me know how wrong I am?????
